Blogs from around the liberal Quaker world

About

Quakerblogs.org is new in town!

Over time we aim to be a repository and aggregation of Quaker thought from around the world – based in the UK, but global in outlook.

In many respects, we could be described as the sibling of the excellent QuakerQuaker site – however we aim not to be a competitor, but complementary; where QuakerQuaker is explicitly Christian in focus, Quakerblogs is coming from the Liberal wing of modern Friends theology – and just as our sibling extends the hand of friendship to Liberal thought, we too extend that hand back.

We’re also the companion website to the Online Meeting for Worship.

Quakerblogs is edited by simon gray, but I don’t intend to keep it solely to myself for long – once I’ve got things stable & fitted out I’ll be soliciting offers of help!

Hi Simon, I’d love to see you more involved in QuakerQuaker. Many members of the editorial team come from liberal Quaker yearly meetings (me included). The qualification for inclusion is that a piece talk explicitly about Quaker faith and be interesting. Being a self-consciously cross-Quaker project, it is more Christian than the average liberal Friends site but it’s not meant to be exclusive in any way. The paraphrase of “Primitive Christianity Revived” comes from William Penn, a great liberal Friend. It’d be great to get a second British Friend on board, I’m sure we miss a lot of great posts over there. Let me know if you’re interested.
    Yours in Friendship,
    Martin
